Three warranties, kept apart.

Who stands behind what, in plain words.

01

Your consumer guarantees

The Australian Consumer Law covers you on top of everything below. Nothing we offer replaces it.

02

The maker’s warranty on the unit

Set by the brand, and it can depend on a licensed install. We register it for you on the day.

03

Our warranty on the install

Five years on our workmanship: the pipework, the brackets, the drain and the connections.

How an install runs.

  1. Measure

Send photos for a split. For ducted, Ninos comes out, gets in the roof and checks the switchboard.

  2. Quote

In writing: the model, its kW, its star rating with the climate zone named, and the total.

  3. Install day

Most splits take a day, ducted two or three. Drop sheets down, shoe covers on, rubbish gone.

  4. Hand over

We run it with you, set the remote, register the warranty and email the paperwork.

Rebates, landlords and agents.

Replacing an old unit?

We offer the NSW Energy Savings Scheme air conditioner discount when your job qualifies. If it does, the amount is on your quote.

How the NSW incentive works

Renting it out?

We arrange access with your tenant, send photos of the work, and invoice your property manager directly. We ask you before we contact a tenant.

Aircon died on the hottest day of the year. Ninos came out first thing next morning, found the capacitor had gone and had it running in about 40 mins. Call out came off the bill like they said.

Got 3 quotes for ducted and he was the only one who actually went up in the roof before quoting. 2 days to install, cleaned up after. Upstairs is finally ok to sleep in.

They service the 4 splits in our rental every spring. Text the day before, sort it out with the tenant and the invoice goes to the agent. Easy.

Licensed for the gas and for the work.

Air conditioning takes two licences: one from the state for the job and its wiring, and one from the Australian Refrigeration Council for handling refrigerant.

Who does the wiring. The NSW licence covers connecting the unit itself. A new circuit from your switchboard is run by our licensed electrician partner, and it’s on your quote before we start.

Check a licence on the ARC’s site

Where we work.

The van’s based in Jordan Springs. Most jobs are twenty minutes away or less.

Questions we get every day.

It’s running but not cooling. What should I check first?

Check the mode says cool (not dry or fan), set it to 24, and pull the filters out and rinse them. Make sure nothing is blocking the outdoor unit. Still warm after 20 minutes? Book a call-out. If it’s low on gas there’s a leak, and we find and fix it before adding any.

Can you just top up the gas?

No. Adding refrigerant without finding the leak isn’t allowed under the refrigerant rules, and it wouldn’t last anyway. We find the leak, fix it, then charge the system.

What size system do I need?

It depends on the room’s size, ceiling height, insulation and which way the windows face. Send photos and the room size and we’ll tell you. The kW figure is on every quote, so you can compare like for like.

Which brand do you recommend?

We install Daikin, Mitsubishi Electric, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Panasonic and Haier, and we’ll tell you why we’d pick one for your room. Whichever you choose, the maker’s warranty can depend on a licensed install.

Will you install a unit I bought somewhere else?

Yes, for splits up to 3.5 kW: $890 including GST for a standard back to back install as described above. The unit’s warranty is between you and the seller, and our workmanship warranty covers the install.

Do you need to run new power?

Often not for a small split, if there’s a suitable circuit. Bigger units and ducted usually need their own circuit from the switchboard and an isolator outside. Our electrician partner does that, and it’s on the quote.

Are you licensed?

Yes. NSW contractor licence 555068C for air conditioning and refrigeration, and the ARC refrigerant licence and trading authorisation listed above. You can check any of them on the ARC’s Look for the Tick site.
