Caught up,
then kept up.

Books, payroll and BAS for Toowoomba businesses, in Xero, MYOB or QuickBooks. Run by Kylie Brandt, registered BAS agent.

Kylie Brandt, in glasses and a grey fleece, ticking a printed bank statement with a cafe owner in a dark apron, at a wooden desk in his back office.

The file review costs nothing. Or ring Kylie on (07) 5550 0784.

Months behind? You’re not the first.

Catch-up work is quoted on its own, after a file review. Your monthly fee only starts once the books are current, so the two never land on one bill.

First

The catch-up

We look through your file, then quote in writing for the months we found.

Then

Monthly books

Once you’re current, a set monthly fee keeps you there.

From$550/mth

Two bills, never one mixed one.

What we’ll need from you

  • Access to your software, or the statements and paperwork if there isn’t any. A box of receipts is fine.
  • Answers to one short list of transactions we can’t place.
  • The receipts that matter. We’ll say which ones; not every missing one does.
BAS overdue too?

Kylie works through the overdue ones as part of the catch-up and tells you plainly where you stand. We won’t promise anything about penalties.

Monthly books, every line ticked.

Every line on your bank and card statements gets matched to an invoice, a bill or a receipt, and ticked off. Anything we can’t match comes back to you as one short list.

A printed bank statement on a wooden desk, ticked down the margin in pencil, with a pencil lying across it, a calculator and a mug of coffee.
Matched and ticked, line by line. What can’t be matched goes on your list.
  1. First week

We reconcile last month: bank and card accounts, bills entered, invoices sent if you want us to.

  2. Mid month

You get your list of anything we couldn’t match, and a profit and loss you can actually read.

  3. When BAS is due

Kylie prepares your BAS, goes through it with you, and lodges it once you’ve said yes.

Payroll, run by Kylie.

Payroll with Single Touch Payroll reporting and super is a BAS service, so Kylie sets it up and runs it herself. You approve every pay run before anyone is paid.

You

  • Send hours, leave and changes by the cut-off we agree
  • Tell us about new starters and anyone leaving
  • Approve the pay run

Kylie

  • Sets up payroll in your software
  • Runs each pay run and reports it through Single Touch Payroll
  • Looks after super for your staff

We pay the rates you set. For questions about awards or employment law, talk to your employment adviser. Payroll is priced on top of the monthly fee, by how many staff you have and how often you pay.

BAS, by a registered BAS agent.

BAS services are the parts of bookkeeping that apply tax law. At Corella, Kylie does every one of them herself.

The software we work in.

Yours, not ours

The subscription and the data stay in your name. You invite us in as your bookkeeper or adviser, so we never need your password.

Moving to new software

We’ll tell you at the file review whether moving is worth it. If it is, Kylie sets it up with GST codes that suit your business, and we show you around it.

No badges here

Knowing the software well isn’t a licence. Kylie’s BAS agent registration is the thing to check.

Fees, with what they cover.

Our prices include GST. Bigger jobs, including every catch-up, get a written quote first.

Kylie Brandt Principal and registered BAS agent

Diploma of Accounting. Registered with the Tax Practitioners Board.

Kylie does every BAS service at Corella: BAS and IAS, payroll and super, GST set-up. She does most file reviews in person, so she’s usually the first person you meet.

Brooke Hennessy Bookkeeper

Brooke keeps the day-to-day moving: entering and reconciling, bills and invoices, and your short list each month. She isn’t a registered BAS agent, so anything that’s a BAS service goes to Kylie.

Certificate IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping.

Who works on your records: Kylie and Brooke, here in Toowoomba. Your books stay in your own software and your client portal, and we don’t send work offshore.

Questions people ask first

Do I still need my accountant?

Yes, for your income tax return. Kylie is a BAS agent, not a tax agent. With your OK, we send your accountant tidy records at year end and answer their questions.

A pay run or BAS is due soon. Can you help?

Tell us the date when you call. We’ll say honestly whether we can fit it in before then. We can’t promise extensions, and we won’t take on a rush job we can’t do properly.

Can you come to my business?

Yes. Kylie and Brooke visit businesses around Toowoomba by arrangement. You can also come to us on Ruthven Street, or we can work by phone.

How do I send records safely?

Once you’ve engaged us, through the client portal we set up for you, or by inviting us into your software. Please don’t email bank details, tax file numbers or ID, and don’t put them in the enquiry form.

Is payroll charged separately?

Yes. It’s quoted on top of the monthly fee, by how many staff you have and how often you pay them, so it’s clear what you’re paying for.

Come in, or we’ll come to you.
