First lessons
Never driven, or not for years? We start in a quiet street near you: seat and mirrors, the controls, moving off and stopping. Most people take 90 minutes for the first one.
- 60 minutes$75
- 90 minutes$105
Ready for the test
Book your test with Service NSW, then book our test package: we pick you up, do a 60-minute warm-up near the test centre, and you sit the test in our car.
- Test package$190
- Mock test, 60 minutes$75
The government test fee isn’t in our price. You pay it to Service NSW when you book the test.
Manual or auto
Sami teaches in a manual and an auto. Lucy teaches auto. The prices are the same either way.
Not sure? If the car at home is a manual, or you want to drive one later, learn in a manual. Otherwise most people choose auto.
For parents and supervisors
Book and pay for your learner, sit in the back for the first lesson if you like, and get a short note after each one saying what to practise at home.
- 10 lessons, 60 minutes each$700

Lessons and your logbook
Lessons with a NSW licensed instructor can earn bonus credit in your logbook. Here’s what that does and doesn’t mean.
- Driving time
- The minutes you’re behind the wheel. A 60-minute lesson is 60 minutes of driving, no more.
- Bonus credit
- Extra logbook hours the NSW scheme adds for eligible lessons. It’s credit, not extra time in the car. It doesn’t count towards your night hours, and there’s a limit to how much you can earn.
The rules, and how the bonus is worked out, are on the NSW Government logbook page.
We don’t run the Safer Drivers Course. You can find an approved provider on the NSW Government course page.
For parents and supervisors
Most of the driving happens with you. We try to make that easier.
- You can book and payBook in your name and pay for your learner. We keep your details and theirs separate.
- Sit in on the first lessonSupervisors are welcome in the back seat, so you can teach the same way at home.
- A note after each lessonIt goes to the learner and to whoever pays: what we worked on, and what to practise before next time.
A lesson note, as we’d send it
Today: roundabouts and lane changes on the way into Penrith. Good mirror checks.
Practise at home: right turns at roundabouts, a few on every drive, in daylight first.
Next lesson: reverse parallel parking.
Your instructors
The same instructor each time, unless you ask.
Sami Nassar
Owner. Teaches auto and manual, in English and Arabic.
Lucy Tran
Teaches auto, in English and Vietnamese. Good with nervous adult beginners.
Safety and concerns
- Many learners are under 18, so both instructors hold a NSW Working with Children Check.
- Ask to stop a lesson, or for a different instructor, at any time.
To report misconduct by a driving instructor, call Transport for NSW on 131 500.
Questions
What do I bring to my first lesson?
Your learner licence and logbook, and shoes you can feel the pedals in. Glasses too, if your licence says so.
How many lessons will I need?
It depends on how much you drive between lessons. After the first one, your instructor will tell you what they saw and suggest a plan. We won’t promise a number, or a pass.
Can I use your car for the test?
Yes, with the test package ($190). Book your test with Service NSW first, then tell us the date and time. The government test fee is separate and paid to Service NSW.
Can a parent come along?
Yes. A supervisor can sit in the back for the first lesson, or any lesson, if the learner is happy with that.
What if I need to cancel?
Move or cancel up to 24 hours before at no cost. If you’re unwell on the day, text us and we’ll find another time.
