This is a guide, not a booking. We only roster a shift after a first chat, once we know what you’d like and who’s a good fit.
We support adults, 18 and over. We don’t work with children. If you’re looking for a child, Ngozi can point you to people who do.
Everyday things, done the way you like them done. You decide; we help.
Showering, dressing and getting ready for the day.

Eleni, DanMeals, laundry and keeping on top of the house.
DanShopping, appointments, and the things you enjoy.
EleniCatching the bus, a new recipe, planning your week. You do it, we back you up.

Dan, EleniSomeone to go with you to the footy, the library or the pool.

If you need one of these, we’ll say so at the first chat and help you look for someone who does it.

Hi, I’m
When Eleni’s away, Dan covers her regular shifts, and you’ll have met him first.

If your worker can’t come, Ngozi rings or texts you before the shift to say who’s coming instead.
Robyn started Marrinook in Prospect and still runs it day to day. She looks after the team and the service, and she reads every complaint herself.
Everyone who supports you has a current NDIS Worker Screening clearance. We check it before their first shift, and keep checking.
It depends on how your NDIS plan is managed.
We send you the invoice, and you claim it from your plan.
We send the invoice to your plan manager.
When the NDIA pays providers for you, it can only pay registered providers, and we’re not registered.
Marrinook is not a registered NDIS provider. Like every NDIS provider, registered or not, we follow the NDIS Code of Conduct, and the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission oversees us.
Will my plan pay for it? That depends on your plan, so we can’t promise. At the first chat we look at it with you, including how much funding is available now, not just the plan’s total.
For help with self-care, we charge the NDIS price limit for each time band, and never more. The same for everyone, self-managed or plan-managed.
Your service agreement sets out the price for each band, and which hours count as daytime, evening and night, before you sign. Prices include any GST.
Other supports, like going out in the community, can use a different NDIS item and price. We tell you which, in writing, before you start.
Four steps. No forms to get started.

By phone, by text, or over a cuppa at our office or your place. Tell her what you’d like help with.

Ngozi introduces someone she thinks you’ll get on with. Not sure? Meet someone else.
Your service agreement: what we’ll do, when, who’s coming, and what it costs. Take it home and read it with someone first.
We set your regular times, so you usually see the same person each week.

We don’t need your plan, diagnosis or medical history to start talking. Later, with your OK, we ask for the parts of your plan we need.
If your plan is self-managed or plan-managed, usually yes. Agency-managed, no, because we’re not a registered provider.
Whether a particular support can be paid from your plan depends on your plan. We check it with you before anything starts.
We come to Prospect and nearby suburbs in the inner north. Check yours, or just ask. Travel can add to the bill, and your agreement says how.
Yes. You meet them first, and you can ask for someone different at any time, without giving a reason.
We can’t promise the same person forever. People take leave and move on. When that happens, we tell you and introduce someone new.
It depends on the support, the day and the time. See our rates. Your service agreement lists every price before you sign.
Tell us as early as you can. What counts as short notice, and any charge, is in your agreement.
If your worker can’t come, we ring or text you before the shift, with who’s coming instead or a new time.
Yes. Check how much notice your current agreement needs, then tell them when you’re finishing. We’ll plan a start date with you so there’s no gap. Ngozi can talk it through with you.
At first, just the basics: your name, how to reach you, your suburb and what you’d like help with.
Later, with your OK, we ask for the parts of your plan we need for your agreement. Only Ngozi, Robyn and your workers can see your details.
The office is open Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5pm. Support happens at other times too, as rostered.
If you’re with us and a worker hasn’t turned up outside office hours, ring the on-call number in your welcome pack. It’s for roster problems, not emergencies. In an emergency, call 000.
Tell any of us, or go straight to the NDIS Commission. You don’t have to come to us first. Your rights and complaints.

Support happens at other times too, as rostered. Texts and emails sent after hours are answered the next working day.
Send referrals to referrals@marrinook.example. Ngozi reads every one and replies by email. Please check the participant knows you’re referring them.
Talk to your worker, Ngozi, or Robyn our director. In person, by phone, by text or by email. Robyn writes back to say what we’ll do about it.
