Not a job ad
None of these right for you? Register for accounts, payroll and office roles we haven’t advertised yet. It isn’t an application, and there’s no particular job behind it.
Every ad is a real vacancy. When a role is filled it’s marked, and filled ads come off each Friday. We name the employer once we’ve spoken with you.
You never pay us. Here’s what happens to your CVHiring? Here’s our fee, in full.
No retainer and no charge for advertising. You pay only when someone starts.
Our fee
15.4%of the first year’s base salary, including GST
That’s 14% plus GST.
- Base salary
- The yearly salary before super. Super, bonuses, overtime and allowances aren’t counted.
- Fixed-term roles
- 15.4% of the salary for the term. Six months of a $72,000 role is $36,000 of salary, so the fee is $5,544.
- When it’s due
- When the person starts. If nobody starts, there’s nothing to pay.
- If they leave early
- If they leave in their first three months, we search for a replacement at no further fee. It’s a new search, not a refund.
For a $70,000 role: $9,800 plus $980 GST, so $10,780 in all.
It’s all in our terms of business, which you’ll have in writing before we start.

How a placement runs
From the employer’s brief to the start date.
- 1
The brief
The employer tells us about the role, the team, the salary and when they’d like someone to start, and gets our terms in writing before any work begins.
- 2
The ad
We write the ad with the employer and check the pay against the award. It goes up here and on job boards, and we look through our talent pool.
- 3
Applications
Every applicant gets an email when their application arrives.
When candidates hear back: the consultant for the role replies once they’ve read the application, usually within two working days, shortlisted or not.
- 4
Interviews and the shortlist
We interview the people who fit. With each candidate’s yes, the employer gets a shortlist and we set up their interviews.
- 5
References and the offer
We check references with the candidate’s permission. The employer makes the offer and employs the person directly.
- 6
The start date
Our fee is due when the person starts, and we check in with both sides over their first three months.
We can’t promise how long a search will take, or that applying will lead to a job. We’ll tell you how it’s going each week.

Questions
Do I pay anything to find a job through you?
No. Not to register, not to be put forward and not when you start. NSW rules don’t allow an agency to charge you for finding you a job. The employer pays our fee.
What roles and areas do you cover?
Accounts, payroll, administration and business support, in permanent and fixed-term roles across Newcastle, Lake Macquarie and the Hunter.
Can I register without applying for a role?
Yes, through the talent pool. It isn’t a job application and there’s no particular role behind it. We keep your details so we can call you when something suits, and we only email you new roles if you tick the box for that. Ask us to take you out of the pool at any time.
Who sees my CV?
Kiri, Harriet and Tuan, in our recruitment software. An employer sees it only after we’ve talked to you about their role and you’ve said yes. We don’t share it with anyone else unless the law requires us to.
What happens after I apply?
You get an email to say it’s arrived. The consultant for the role reads it and gets back to you, usually within two working days, whether or not you’re shortlisted. Applying doesn’t guarantee an interview or a job.
How is the employer’s fee worked out?
It’s 15.4% of the first year’s base salary, including GST (14% plus GST). Base salary is before super, bonuses and allowances. For a fixed-term role it’s 15.4% of the salary for the term, and it’s due when the person starts. See the fee in full
What if the person leaves early?
If they leave in their first three months, we search for a replacement at no further fee. It’s a new search for the same role, not a refund, and the details are in our terms of business.
Who employs me if I get the job?
The employer, directly, from your first day. Your pay, leave and super come from them. We don’t do labour hire or temp work, so you’re never on our payroll.
