What you walk out with

Two of our courses are nationally recognised and one workshop isn’t. Here’s each one, listed the way the national register lists it.

Statement of attainment, nationally recognised

Online theory, then a morning in our room with the practical assessment.

CPR refresher

$79

CPR unit code (example)Nationally recognised CPR unit

Statement of attainment, nationally recognised

Two hours in our room, mostly on the floor with the manikins.

Workplace wellbeing workshop

$120

Not nationally recognised

A three-hour workshop on stress, fatigue and looking out for each other at work. You get our certificate of attendance, not a statement of attainment.

A statement of attainment shows you’re competent in a unit. It isn’t a full qualification, and we don’t run full qualifications.

No course here comes with a job. Your employer decides who they hire, and nobody can promise you’ll pass: the assessment decides that.

The in-person part

First aid can’t be done entirely online. You learn the theory at home, then show us you can do it, here or at your workplace.

At home

About three hours of reading, videos and a short quiz, at your own pace before the day.

In person

A morning with Theo or Harpreet: a refresher, practice, then the practical assessment.

What the practical assessment asks of you

  1. Two minutes of CPR on an adult manikin on the floor, without stopping.
  2. CPR on an infant manikin, and using a training defibrillator.
  3. Short scenarios, like heavy bleeding or an allergic reaction, where you talk us through what you’d do.

Who it suits

You’ll need to kneel on the floor for the CPR. If that’s hard for you, call before you book and we’ll talk it through honestly. If reading or English is hard, tell us and Joelle will help you through the online part.

  • Your USI
  • Photo ID
  • Clothes you can kneel in
  • Water

Fees, in full

One price each. You pay when you book, and nothing is added on the day.

Registered, and checkable

Our registration code

RTO 00000(example)

This is an example page, so the code and the CPR unit code are placeholders. A real provider shows its own RTO code here, links to its own entry on the National Register, and lists each course code and title exactly as the register does.

We teach, assess and issue your statement of attainment ourselves. No other organisation enrols or teaches for us.

Joelle Barnes

Office coordinator

Bookings, USIs, statements of attainment and moving a booking. Answers the phone most days.

If something goes wrong

  1. 1

Tell Joelle or Theo. Most things get sorted on the phone.

  2. 2

Not sorted? Put it in writing and Theo replies within ten business days.

  3. 3

Disagree with an assessment result? Ask for an appeal and a different assessor reviews it.

  4. 4

Still unhappy? You can tell the national training regulator. It can’t settle a refund for you; NSW Fair Trading can help with that.

Group bookings on site

For four people or more, we come to your workplace and run the course there, on a day that suits your roster.

We bring

  • Adult and infant manikins, one between two
  • Training defibrillators and first aid kits
  • Mats, cleaning gear and everything for the assessment

You provide

  • A room with clear floor space for everyone to kneel
  • A table, chairs and a power point
  • Staff who’ve done the online part before the day

Everyone gets their own outcome

Each person is assessed one by one, and each gets their own statement of attainment in their own name, linked to their USI. If someone isn’t yet competent, they get a free second go at a public course.

Questions

What’s a USI, and do I need one?

A Unique Student Identifier keeps your record of nationally recognised training. We need it before we can issue a statement of attainment. It’s free and takes a few minutes at usi.gov.au. Joelle can help if you get stuck.

When do I get my statement of attainment?

Within five business days of being assessed competent, by email, once your USI checks out. A printed copy is free if you ask.

Can my employer pay?

Yes. Give us their name and email when you book and we’ll send them the invoice. Your statement of attainment still comes to you.

Is the wellbeing workshop the same as first aid?

No. It’s our own workshop, not nationally recognised, and it doesn’t count as first aid training. It sits well alongside a first aid course for teams who want both.
