Swimming lessons in Frankston. Find your lane.
Babies to adults, in a warm indoor pool on Beach Street. Lanes go by what a swimmer can do, not just their age.
-
Suits any baby or toddler, from their very first splash. No skills needed, just a grown-up happy to get wet. Up to 6 pairs in a class.
What the adult does -
Suits children ready to be in the water without a parent. Still not keen on a wet face? That’s where most of them start. Up to 3 in a class.
-
Suits children who can’t yet swim 10 metres on their own. They learn to float, kick, breathe and get back to the edge. Up to 4 in a class.
-
Suits swimmers who can do 25 metres of freestyle and backstroke. They work on all four strokes, turns and fitness, and squad trains for school carnivals. Up to 6 in a class.
-
Suits adults who never learnt, and swimmers who want a smoother stroke. Up to 3 in a class, or private. You can stand up in every part of our pool.
At the assessment, a teacher gets in the water with your swimmer and tells you which lane fits. A nervous nine-year-old and a confident six-year-old can start in different lanes.
Parent and baby: the adult gets in too
From 6 months to 3 years. One adult in the water with each child, up to 6 pairs in a class, and Ciara leading.
- You hold your baby the way Ciara shows you, face to face to begin with.
- You sing, pour and blow bubbles. Babies copy you more than anyone.
- You practise turning to the wall and holding on, until it’s a habit.
- You stand the whole time, in water about waist to chest deep. You needn’t be a strong swimmer.
What to bring
- Swim nappies, reusable over disposable
- Swimmers for you
- A hooded towel
- Warm clothes for after
- A bottle or snack
Water safety, honestly
Lessons build skills: floating, kicking, breathing, turning back to the edge and climbing out. Skills alone don’t make anyone safe around water, at any age, and no lesson can promise that. Supervision does the rest, every time.
- Little onesWithin arm’s reach near water, every time, the bath included.
- Older childrenAn adult watching the whole time, and not on a phone.
- At the beachSwim between the red and yellow flags. The bay isn’t a warm, calm pool.
- In our poolA teacher in or beside the water for every class. Under 12s need a parent or carer in the building.
Photos of childrenOnly with a parent’s written permission, and never with names. Saying no never changes a child’s place.

What these mean. Industry accreditations, not government registration. Every teacher also holds current CPR and a Victorian Working with Children Check, a safety screening rather than a teaching qualification.
Not therapy. Our lessons are swimming lessons, not therapy, and not NDIS-funded. If water is hard for your child, call Yasmin first.
Child safe. We follow Victoria’s Child Safe Standards, with a child safety policy and a staff code of conduct.
Questions parents ask
When can my child start?
Parent and baby from 6 months. Little swimmers from 3, once they’re ready to be in the water without you. After the assessment we offer the first class at their level with a place, and tell you the day and time before you pay.
How do children move up?
Each lane has a short list of skills. The teacher checks them in class, and when your child can do them all we tell you and offer a place in the next lane. That can mean a different day or time.
What if they’re unwell?
Keep them home, especially with an upset tummy, and tell us in the family portal before the lesson. It counts as a notified absence, so you can book a make-up.
Can you support my child’s needs?
Often, yes. Call before booking and talk to Yasmin about the water, the noise, the change rooms and whether a support person comes in. If a private lesson or a therapist would suit better, we’ll say so.
What happens on the first visit?
Come 10 minutes early to reception. Change, then meet the teacher on the pool deck. Parents head up to the balcony, or into the water for Parent and baby.
How do we pause or stop?
Tell us in the portal or by text before the next term’s bill goes out, and you won’t be charged for that term. Lessons already paid for stay yours to use as make-ups that term.
