Childcare marketing and SEO Childcare marketing that fills your empty days, room by room.

Parents shortlist centres a few minutes from home or work on fees and free days, then decide on the tour. Joseph works on each of those, written with the National Quality Framework in mind.

The call is free. If marketing isn’t worth it for you yet, Joseph will say so.

Marketing from $449 a month +GST. Month to month. What each part costs

  1. 1Google AdsThe top of the page, from the day it goes live.
  2. 2Google profileThe map and the places under it, where most local customers choose.
  3. 3Blogs and contentThe questions people ask before they’re ready to book.
  4. 4Website SEOThe results under them, and what AI answers say about you.
Example: a made-up centre in Marsden Park. Each part of the page is won a different way.

How parents choose a centre.

Five searches bring most families to a centre’s door. Each one is won by something different.

  1. childcare near me

Close to home: three centres on the map, then the photos.

Parents look within a couple of kilometres and pick from the three centres on the map, then check the reviews, the photos of the rooms and how easy it is to book a tour. The right category, real photos of each room and a tour button on your profile get the tap.

  2. daycare marsden park vacancies

“Any vacancies?” means their child’s room, on their days.

A parent going back to work needs Tuesday to Thursday in the toddler room, not “enquire about vacancies”. Free days by room on your site and profile, matching what StartingBlocks shows from your weekly report, win the family already ringing around. A full nursery room gets an honest waitlist instead.

  3. how much is childcare after ccs

The fee question: what will we actually pay?

Families want the gap, not the daily rate. A fees page with the full daily fee by room, what’s included, a plain explanation of how the Child Care Subsidy brings it down and a link to the government’s estimator answers them, without promising a figure only Services Australia can work out.

What wins itWebsite SEOBlogs and content

  4. long day care near work

Near the station or the office: the commute decides.

Plenty of parents want care on the way to work, not beside home. Opening hours that fit a commute, ads on searches around the stations and business parks near you, and a page that says how drop-off works win families a home-suburb search would never show you.

    What wins itGoogle AdsWebsite SEO

  5. exceeding rated childcare near me

The rating search: they’ve heard “Exceeding” is better.

Some parents filter by rating, and many read “Meeting” as the bare minimum when it’s a good result. Your current rating stated exactly as awarded, with a line on what it means and what you’ve worked on since, builds more trust than a badge. Reviews from families, asked for the same way every term, do the rest.

National Quality Framework

Written with the National Quality Framework in mind.

Childcare advertising has rules of its own, from the National Law and Regulations to the Child Care Subsidy rules and your state’s Child Safe Standards, and plenty of childcare marketing ignores them. Everything we write, post and run for you is written with them in mind.

  • Your NQS rating stated exactly as awarded: the current overall rating, never an old one, and never an Exceeding quality area passed off as the whole.
  • Photos of children only with written parent consent for that use, taken on service devices under your images policy, and no child named in a post or a review reply.
  • Free days by room that match what you report to StartingBlocks, and no “places available” when a room is full.
  • The Child Care Subsidy explained, never promised: no “from $X a day after CCS”, and no “free days” that are really subsidised hours.
  • No gift cards, vouchers or giveaways for enrolling, referring a friend or leaving a review. Free tours and trial days, which the rules allow.
  • Child safety described as you actually practise it, with no “safest centre” claims you can’t back up.

The first three months.

What Joseph would usually do first for an independent centre. The order changes with what he finds before the call.

  1. Weeks 1 to 2

    The map, done properly

The right category, each room and program listed, hours and the Christmas closure set ahead, real photos taken under your images policy, and review requests set up for every family.

  2. Weeks 2 to 4

    Free days, everywhere

Free days by room on your site, Google profile and StartingBlocks saying the same thing, tour times parents can book themselves, and ads for the room with gaps, if they fit.

  3. Months 2 to 3

    Fees and room pages

A fees page that explains the subsidy without figures that go stale, then a page for each room, written for the suburbs your families really come from.

  4. Every month

    Reviews and a report

Every review answered without naming a child, tour bookings and calls counted, and what moved in plain words.

Your website is where the tour gets booked.

Every ad, map listing and StartingBlocks page sends parents to your site. If it doesn’t show free days by room, the fee and a tour button on a phone, the marketing pays for visits that don’t book. If yours needs work, Joseph rebuilds your homepage free first, and you see it before you decide anything.

How much does childcare marketing cost?

With bdog, from $449 a month +GST for Google profile management. Website SEO is from $1,300 a month, and Google Ads management is from $600 a month plus your ad spend. Joseph quotes the mix for your centre after a 15-minute call.

What is childcare SEO?

Making your centre the one Google shows when parents nearby search “childcare near me” or “daycare” with your suburb: your Google profile and reviews for the map, your StartingBlocks page kept accurate, and pages on your website for each room, your fees and how enrolment works.

Do Google Ads work for childcare centres?

For a room with gaps, often: families rarely move a settled child, so one enrolment can be years of fees. They’re wasted on a room you can’t staff. Joseph checks which rooms you can fill and what clicks cost near you before the call, and January and February, when parents search for care most, are when they should be running.

Can we run a refer-a-friend offer to lift enrolments?

Not with gifts. The Child Care Subsidy rules ban cash, vouchers, gift cards and giveaways that bring in enrolments, including rewards to enrolled families for referring others. Free tours, trial days and a genuine fee discount, reported as one, are allowed, so that’s what childcare enrolments marketing is built on.

We’re opening a new centre. When can we start marketing?

Once your application for service approval has been lodged. ACECQA says advertising a service before then is an offence, so Joseph checks where your application stands before any pre-opening campaign starts.

We already use a childcare marketing agency. Can you take a look?

Yes. Joseph can look at what you’re getting now before the call: where you sit on the map, your reviews and where your tour bookings come from. If it’s working, he’ll tell you to keep it.
