For independent centres, schools and kids’ activities in Australia

Education and care website design, one kind of business at a time.

A childcare centre, a driving school and a swim school don’t need the same homepage. Families arrive with different questions, and the rules on what each can say are set by different bodies. Send your web address and see yours rebuilt free in two business days.

The advertising rules

The rules change from one kind of business to the next.

Childcare, family day care and outside school hours care work under the National Quality Framework, training providers under their registering body, and driving instructors under state licensing. Child safe standards and child screening are state and territory law and differ from one to the next. This is who sets the rules for each, and what they change on a homepage.

All Questions, Answered

My kind of business isn’t on the list. Can you still help?

If you run an independent centre, school or kids’ activity in Australia, probably. Choose “Another kind of centre” in the request and say what you do. Joseph checks the rules for your kind of business before he starts.

Is every site the same template in a different colour?

No. Each example was designed for its kind of business: what sits on the first screen, which sections follow and in what order come from what those families look for. Your rebuild starts from your own business, not from the example.

Can the site show photos of the children?

Only with permission, and only the way your service’s own image policy allows. In services under the National Quality Framework, staff can’t use personal phones to take, store or share images of children, so photos come from service devices. We build the site so it works well with few photos of children, or none.

How do you show fees when a subsidy or a voucher pays part?

Plainly, and without figures that go stale. A childcare page explains the Child Care Subsidy as a subsidy paid through the service, with a gap the family pays, and never as a promised place. Every price is the total up front, including any compulsory kit or registration charge.

Do you mention child safety on the site?

Yes, in your state’s own terms. Child safe standards and child screening differ by state, so the page names the right check, like a Working with Children Check or a Blue Card, and explains how your service keeps children safe without claiming an accreditation you don’t hold.

Do you work with businesses outside Sydney?

Yes. bdog works with businesses across Australia. You send your address, watch the walkthrough video, and talk it through with Joseph.
