More fence and wall jobs, and fewer “how much per thousand?” calls.

What we look at for a bricklaying business, and what it changes for you.

Why it’s free

It’s the quickest way for you to judge our work, and it’s the first step of building your site anyway. If you go ahead, the rebuild becomes your homepage.

  • Builders and homeowners each find their way in

One route for house lots and blockwork, one for fences, walls and repairs.

  • Fewer “how much?” calls

Prices for set jobs, with footings, capping and clean-down listed.

  • Builders trust you before they ring

Your licence number and category beside the phone, with a register link.

  • Homeowners see work like theirs

Job photos named by the job, the brick, the joint and the suburb.

  • Fewer wasted site visits

Photos and a rough size come in with every quote request.

A page that splits homeowners from builders and prices the small jobs honestly.

Scroll to watch a homepage rebuilt, then see why each piece is where it is.

An illustrative before. The practice is fictional.Perpend Brick & Block is a fictional practice. Open the Live Example (opens in a new tab)

  1. A site-builder page, with a pop-up on top.

    • A mailing list pop-up covers the page before anyone has read it.
    • Booking is somewhere under More.
    • The phone number and the hours are at the bottom, as plain text.
  2. The same business, rebuilt.

What was worth keeping is kept. Everything else is rebuilt around it.

  3. What are we laying?

    • Six kinds of job are laid out as bricks in the first screen.
    • Builders have their own brick, and their own number.
    • One tap opens the quote with the job already chosen.
  4. Recent jobs, captioned properly.

    • Each photo names the job and the suburb.
    • The brick, the mortar and the joint are named too.
    • No street numbers in any photo.
  5. One total for the set jobs.

    • A letterbox pier and a front fence each show a total including GST.
    • Footings, capping, clean-down and rubbish are listed.
    • Walls and repairs are priced after a look, and the page says why.
  6. Mortar colour and the joint.

    • The four common joints are drawn as cross sections.
    • A sample panel is offered before the job starts.
    • It says plainly that an exact match isn’t always possible.
  7. Start dates and paperwork.

    • Builders get their own section and their own number.
    • Licence, insurance and safety paperwork are listed.
    • Plans can be sent straight from the page.
  8. The licence beside the phone.

    • The licensee, the number and the category sit under the call button.
    • The same line is in the footer.
    • A link goes to the NSW licence check.

Written inside the rules bricklayers work under. Every site shows the licensee’s name and licence or registration number the way your state asks, keeps the services list inside your licence category, says who decides on council approval and engineering instead of quoting heights, and shows prices as the total including GST with what each one covers.

Pricing and questions

When it goes live

  • It looks like your business. Designed from your free rebuild, never a template.
  • You never have to write a word. Joseph writes every page, and you approve it.
  • Fewer people leave before they enquire. Built for phones first, and fast to load.
  • You wake up to bookings and enquiries instead of voicemails. Your booking or enquiry system, linked.
  • Enquiries come in with what you need to reply. Contact and enquiry forms.
  • You don’t lose the enquiries you already get. Every old page redirected, so Google keeps finding you.
  • One less thing to worry about with the regulator. Written with your profession’s advertising rules in mind.

Every month after

  • If something breaks, it’s ours to fix. Hosting, security and daily backups.
  • You send a change and it’s done. Edits whenever you need them.
  • You can see what the site brings in. Counted calls and a performance dashboard.
  • People searching for you land on the right page. Page titles, descriptions and a sitemap, set up.
  • You never chase your old web person again. We deal with your old host and booking provider.
  • It doesn’t look dated in three years. A design review every year, if you want one.

Yours to keep. Your domain and content are yours from day one. The design files and a static export of your site are yours at month 12, or sooner if you pay off the rest of the build. Terms, clause 13

Switching in

You forward two or three logins: your domain, your current host, and your booking or enquiry system if you use one. We move the content, connect that system, set up redirects so Google keeps sending people to the right pages, and put it live. Your part is under an hour, total.

Switching back

Your old site stays where it is for 30 days after the new one goes live. If you’d rather have it back, for any reason, tell us and we point your domain at it the same day. You’re refunded in full and the care plan stops.

The advertising rules

Written inside the rules bricklayers work under.

Bricklaying is licensed by each state, not nationally. In NSW, Queensland and South Australia the licence number has to be in your advertising, and the regulators count a website.

  • The licence, near the phone

The licensee’s name, number and category, beside the call button and in the footer.

  • Services inside the licence

Retaining walls that need approval are listed the way your licence allows.

  • Prices as one total

Including GST, with what’s in the job and what changes the price.

  • No guessed height rules

Approvals and engineering are left to the council or certifier, and the page says so.

You stay responsible for what your business advertises, and we make it easier to get right.

All Questions, Answered

The free rebuild

Why is it free?

It’s the fastest way for you to judge our work without committing to anything, and it’s step one of your site if you go ahead. The rebuild becomes your homepage.

Is it just a template?

No. It’s built from your own jobs, suburbs, licence and prices, on a structure designed for bricklaying businesses. Joseph reviews every decision before it reaches you, and walks you through each one on the call.

Do I have to talk to anyone?

Yes, briefly. Joseph walks you through your new homepage on a 15-minute video call, and you tell him what you’d change.

What happens to the rebuild if I say no?

Nothing. Keep the ideas and use them however you like. The preview link closes after 7 days, and we don’t publish it or show it to anyone without your permission.

We already have a web developer. Does that matter?

Not for the rebuild. You can use it to see what’s possible before deciding who builds it. If you go ahead with us, we handle the move and your developer doesn’t need to be involved.

Going ahead

Will it work with how we take jobs?

Quote requests go where you already work: your mobile, your email, or your job software if you use one. The photos a customer sends come with the request. We confirm how yours connects before you approve your design.

How much work is this for me?

Send your address, see it on a 15-minute call, say yes or no. If yes, forward the logins we ask for and a folder of job photos. We do the rest, including talking to your current host if something needs untangling.

What happens to my current site?

Nothing, for 30 days. It stays live on its existing host so it’s there if you want it back. After that you can cancel the old hosting, or we’ll do it with you.

Will I lose my Google rankings?

We map every page on your old site to the right page on the new one before we switch, so links and search results keep landing somewhere sensible. Rankings move for all sorts of reasons, but a redirect map is what stops a move from being one of them.

What if I don’t like it once it’s live?

Say so within 30 days. We point your domain back at your old site, refund your website fees in full, and stop the care plan. No form, no reason required.

What’s the catch with the 12 months?

The first year pays off the build in monthly instalments, so there’s no large upfront cost. After 12 months the price drops to the care rate. You can leave at any time and owe nothing more. To take the site itself, pay what’s left of the build and we hand over your design files.

Who owns the site?

Your domain, content and photos are yours from the start. The site runs on our platform, which is how it stays fast, secure and looked after. Once the build is paid off, at month 12, up front or when you leave, we’ll export everything whenever you ask.
