What we look at for a conveyancing practice.

The details are different for every profession.

Why it’s free

It’s the quickest way for you to judge our work, and it’s the first step of building your site anyway. If you go ahead, the rebuild becomes your homepage.

  • Buying or selling

Two routes, because the jobs are different.

  • Review before you sign

A contract review before exchange or an auction.

  • The fee, and the rest

The professional fee apart from searches and registration.

  • Exchange to settlement

What each step means, without promised dates.

  • Safe payments

Bank details that never change by email.

A site that gets the contract reviewed before anyone signs.

An illustrative before. The practice is fictional.Saltbush Conveyancing is a fictional practice. Open the Live Example (opens in a new tab)

  1. A site-builder page, with a pop-up on top.

    • A mailing list pop-up covers the page before anyone has read it.
    • Booking is somewhere under More.
    • The phone number and the hours are at the bottom, as plain text.
  2. The same business, rebuilt.

What was worth keeping is kept. Everything else is rebuilt around it.

  3. Contract flags as doors.

    • Buying, Selling and Contract review are sign-here flags stuck to a contract, with Off the plan and Family transfer flagged just under it.
    • Each flag opens its own route.
    • The flags recur for the steps and the fee card.
  4. A contract review before exchange or an auction.

    • A contract review has its own fee and turnaround.
    • Buyers are asked to send the contract before they commit.
    • Auctions are flagged, because there’s no cooling-off there.
  5. The professional fee apart from outside costs.

    • The professional fee is shown including GST.
    • Searches, registration and other outside costs are listed apart.
    • Costs are confirmed in writing before work starts.
  6. What each step means.

    • Exchange, cooling-off and settlement are explained in order.
    • No settlement date is promised.
    • Each step says what the client needs to do.
  7. Bank details that never change by email.

    • Payment instructions come with a fraud warning.
    • Clients are told to call to confirm any change.
    • Documents go through a secure portal, not email.
  8. The licensee named, with the licence number.

    • The licensed conveyancer is named with the licence number.
    • Support staff are named as support staff.
    • No testimonials that promise outcomes.

Written inside the rules conveyancers work under. Every site shows the licensee’s name and licence number where the rules ask for it, explains that costs are disclosed in writing before work starts, and keeps the professional fee apart from searches, registration and other outside costs.

  2. Nothing to pay until you’ve approved your design.

  3. Your old site stays up for 30 days after. Switch back for any reason and your website fees are refunded in full.

  4. Leave any time on 14 days’ notice, paying only the build instalments left.

Switching in

You forward two or three logins: your domain, your current host, and your booking or enquiry system if you use one. We move the content, connect that system, set up redirects so Google keeps sending people to the right pages, and put it live. Your part is under an hour, total.

Switching back

Your old site stays where it is for 30 days after the new one goes live. If you’d rather have it back, for any reason, tell us and we point your domain at it the same day. You’re refunded in full and the care plan stops.

The advertising rules

Written inside the rules conveyancers work under.

In NSW a conveyancer needs a licence from NSW Fair Trading, and any advertisement, a website included, must show the licensee’s name and licence number.

Read the Advertising Guides

  • Name and licence number shown

Where the rules ask for them, on every page that advertises.

  • Costs in writing

Disclosed before or when the practice is engaged.

  • The fee, and the rest, apart

Outside costs are never folded into a headline price.

  • Safe payment instructions

Bank details never change by email, and the page says so.

You stay responsible for what your firm advertises, and we make it easier to get right.

All Questions, Answered

The free rebuild

Why is it free?

It’s the fastest way for you to judge our work without committing to anything, and it’s step one of your site if you go ahead. The rebuild becomes your homepage.

Is it just a template?

No. It’s built from your practice’s own services, team, hours and booking setup, on a structure designed for conveyancing practices. Joseph reviews every decision before it reaches you, and the video explains each one.

Do I have to talk to anyone?

No. You get the rebuild and the video by email and watch in your own time. If you’d rather talk, Joseph’s number is at the bottom of the page.

What happens to the rebuild if I say no?

Nothing. Keep the ideas and use them however you like. The preview link closes after 7 days, and we don’t publish it or show it to anyone without your permission.

We already have a web developer. Does that matter?

Not for the rebuild. You can use it to see what’s possible before deciding who builds it. If you go ahead with us, we handle the move and your developer doesn’t need to be involved.

Going ahead

Will it work with our practice software?

Enquiries go where your practice already works: into your conveyancing or practice management system where it accepts web enquiries, or to your inbox. Nothing sensitive is collected on the site itself. We confirm how yours connects before you approve your design.

How much work is this for me?

Send your address, watch a two-minute video, say yes or no. If yes, forward the logins we ask for. We do the rest, including talking to your current host or booking provider if something needs untangling.

What happens to my current site?

Nothing, for 30 days. It stays live on its existing host so it’s there if you want it back. After that you can cancel the old hosting, or we’ll do it with you.

Will I lose my Google rankings?

We map every page on your old site to the right page on the new one before we switch, so links and search results keep landing somewhere sensible. Rankings move for all sorts of reasons, but a redirect map is what stops a move from being one of them.

What if I don’t like it once it’s live?

Say so within 30 days. We point your domain back at your old site, refund your website fees in full, and stop the care plan. No form, no reason required.

What’s the catch with the 12 months?

The first year pays off the build in monthly instalments, so there’s no large upfront cost. After 12 months the price drops to the care rate. If you leave early, you pay out the build that remains, and we hand over your content and design files.

Who owns the site?

Your domain, content and photos are yours from the start. The site runs on our platform, which is how it stays fast, secure and looked after. Once the build is paid off, at month 12 or up front, we’ll export everything whenever you ask.
